Welcome back to this week’s episode of Inside Look. Today I will be discussing the basics of how therapists may approach trauma. While there are a variety of schools of thought for how to treat and understand trauma, I will be looking first at the differences between what we might colloquially call Big T versus Little t trauma. I also look briefly at diagnosis and potential treatment of PTSD using the DSM-5 criteria and comparing this to other disorders.
